A number of HCNBs have migrated to the Xenaverse from the "Star Trek" fan culture, most notably the Kym Masera Taborn, editor of "Whoosh!" the leading online fanzine, and prominent Web site owners "MaryD" from Australia and "DAx" of "DAx's Obsession." "Kate the Handpuppet" is another former "Trekkie" who has attempted to calm one particular flame war by sharing her experiences in the Trek community. Another acclaimed fan fiction author in the Xenaverse, B.L. Miller, came from Trek fandom as well.
